The RKX® rear sun shade repair kit includes 2 precision made solid metal gears to replace the weak failure prone plastic gears. The common symptoms of a failed rear sun shade gear set are, a clicking sound and the shade not moving, partially rising, and getting stuck. The dealer does not sell these internal gears they want you to replace the entire assembly!
