RKX Camshaft Adjuster Reseal Kit 

The exhaust camshaft adjuster found on the 1999 – 2004 1.9L V40, S40 is prone to leaking oil. Up until now the only option was to replace the entire assembly. The RKX kit allows you to reseal the adjuster and stop it from leaking oil. This is an extremely common leak on this engine and is often misdiagnosed as a cam or crank seal leak. 

Replacement of the seal does not require full removal of the timing belt, but does require the timing belt to be slipped off of the exhaust camshaft adjuster . The OEM adjuster cam gear is held on with tamper resistant bolts. Removal of these bolts is required in-order to replace the seal, this can be accomplished easily  by using a hammer and chisel, rounded bolt extractor, locking pliers, ect.  

Kit includes:
1 – Fluorocarbon rubber cam adjuster seal
3-  Alloy steel grade 12.9 bolts with washers
