The stock hoses on the 7 speed Sportshift 2 transmission are prone to failure due to weak compatibility with the OEM hydraulic control fluid. When this hose leaks it typically results in a bricked car that can not go into gear. The upgraded RKX silicone hoses are specifically designed with a liner that is compatible with the hydraulic fluid. The hoses are also notably thicker and stronger to hold up to any possible abrasion related damage.
