REDARC BATTERY CHARGER 1225D – IN VEHICLE:
The REDARC BCDC1225 is a 12V 25A In-vehicle DC to DC battery charger designed to keep your battery charged whilst driving, features a MPPT solar regulator to boost power supply from solar. As a guide, the BCDC1225 is suited for a battery bank size of 75-200AH. It will provide a battery chemistry specific charging profile and is able to achieve and maintain an optimal charge to all major lead-acid batteries.
The BCDC dual battery charger will work with a wide operating range (9 – 32V) giving the option of charging from both 12V and 24V vehicle systems. The BCDC DC-DC charger also features a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, allowing you to deliver the maximum amount of power from your solar panels to your auxiliary battery. With multiple levels of fault protection. The smart charger will act as a dual battery isolator, should the voltage get too low, the start battery will be protected.
Compact in size, easy to install and fully sealed – water, dust and vibration are no match for the in-vehicle DC smart charger. It can handle the roughest tracks in outback Australia and even deep water crossings at Cape York. The BCDC DC to DC battery charger is suitable for installation in harsh environments or marine applications.

What size BCDC do you need ;
most battery’s have a preferred charge rate of 10 to 25% of the AH rating, that being said the 25amp BCDC is ideal For 100AH battery’s which is a 25% recharge capacity.
Also , keep in mind the higher the charge rate the quicker a battery will be recharged however this will shortern the life span of the battery due excessive stress/ heat put into the cells
