The True Instant ‘Jump Start ‘ Dual Battery System

This easy DIY kit utilises factory holes so no need for drilling etc., with the kit including all the hardware to mount and install your dual battery system to your 300, with the provision of the factory battery’s location used in our kit.

The new 300 series dual battery kit is designed around the Invicta lithium battery SNLH95D and managed by the REDARC 1225 BCDC / 1240BCDC. Able to perform in high heat conditions being well suited and certified for under bonnet. 

Utilizes your factory cranking battery.

Have a Winch or looking at fitting one ? Did you know the power draw for most winches is large . just look at the cables size going to the winch .With This dual battery kit you can add an addition control switch ( you’ll need a on/ off winch switch ) to link-in the Aux battery via the 100amp solenoid. Doing this it will assist the recovery winch with supplying additions amps the winch it may draw, thus extending winch life and making the recovery smooth.Where possible having the engine running is required to assist in battery voltage too.

————-What size BCDC do you need————- 

most battery’s have a preferred  charge rate of 10 to 25% of the AH rating, that being said the 25amp BCDC is ideal For 100AH battery’s which is a 25% recharge capacity. 

Also , keep in mind the higher the charge rate the quicker a battery will be recharged however  this will shortern the life span of the battery due excessive stress/ heat put into the cells

General info about this kit.

This kit is intended to be an Aux battery option to the factory battery which is under bonnet mounted with the added feature of ‘JUMP START ‘feature by the press of a momentary button that is mounted within the cabin. The aux battery is charged automatically by the BCDC or commonly known as a ‘DCDC charger and switching between main battery / alternator or solar inputs depending which source is greater at that time of charging. ‘This kit has a grey Anderson plug for solar panels / matts to be connected. when connecting solar panels, it will be a direct feed from panel to this grey Anderson plug. The bcdc charger has a built-in regulator for the solar input. There is 2 x MIDI fused mounted on the PDP charger (BCDC) bracket for bcdc unit protection like Wise a 5-amp mini blade fuse @ the ‘jump start ‘solenoid for dash switch circuit protection. During the installation it is the installer that needs to configure/ ‘program ‘the charging profile of the bcdc via joining some wires to suit the auxiliary battery.

MIDI fuse holders “RED tops” displayed on battery and solar mount sold separately. These are to show provisional fuse locations for future use.
